M.Loisel is a clerk, married Mathilde Loisel, a beautiful women who obsess with money. He tries to entertain his wife and make her happier living her life. On the dinner table, he eats the basic stuff and image the things he eat is tasty and delicious. Mathilde can not live a life like this with him, she didn't like it. 

Surprise for Mathilde

One day, M. Loisel comes home with joy and happiness on his face. He come back with a invitation of a big party, then he gave it to Mathilde and asked her to go. Mathilde suddenly cried out and explained that she don't have any dress to go. So, her husband gave her to four hundred dollars that he saved to buy a gun to Mathilder. Then Mathilder came back a beautiful dress. From this point, we can see that Mathilde Loisel is a vanity. She would get pleased so easily by money and expensive things. She got pleased when she just got only little invitation to the party.  Her whole life is just trying to make herself come useless.
